Why Change?

The PAK'nSAVE brand dominates the 'lowest price' segment of the market. But this territory was under attack from competitors with aggressive advertising budgets. We needed to clearly reinforce the single-minded 'lowest price' position of PAK'nSAVE, and build loyalty.

What Changed?

We introduced the new face of PAK'nSAVE, a friendly wee chap who demonstrated PAK'nSAVE's commitments to being the consumer champion - in particular, 'no fancy advertising'.

Research post-launch shows that PAK'nSAVE leads all other supermarkets on all price attributes and likeability. 22% of respondents said they were more likely or much more likely to shop at PAK'nSAVE as a result of the advertising.
